Camper

Well, well....today I went and picked up our small little camper.  It took me nearly 4.5 hours even though I had called them to say I would be there around 1 pm.  They had not even started on it yet when I arrived.  Oh well, it's home now and sitting in the driveway.  After taking some measurements, I plan to bring it to a local trucking company where there is some room to store it for the next 3 months.  This just gets us more excited - many things coming together very nicely.  Maybe, if I think of it, I'll post a picture on here.

Saturday we're getting the hardware installed on the truck so that we can tie downt he camper.  Then on Monday I go to pick it up.  Found a place to store it for 3 months - free.  Pieces coming together :)

Truck Camper purchased

Last week Monday we bought a small pickup camper at Art’s RV in GlenView.  After having the one that we were planning to rent was stolen we decided that we’d better buy one rather than wait to see if the fellow in Grand Rapids would have another one.

Our next planning level will be after we purchase our “MilePost Magazine.”   This will better enable us to know when we can plan a ferry tour up into Kenai Fjords Natl. Park.  Things are really coming together.

2011 - 4.5 months to go before A day

Well, here we are in 2011 with just a few short months to go before we leave for our trip.  Nearly every evening that we are home we spend at least some time planning, dreaming and talking.  Since the camper we were going to rent was stolen, we are now faced with the need to buy one since the ferry reservations are for only the truck. 

As of today I may have found one.  We're going to look at it tomorrow, the 7th of January.  We'll buy it for the trip and then probably sell it after we get back home - assumming we can sell it.
